In this article, we'll share some ideas for ice-breakers and hands-on activates to get users comfortable using ThinkHub in a fun and engaging way.
Introducing a new software tool like ThinkHub to your team can be an exciting opportunity to enhance collaboration and productivity. However, getting users comfortable to start using the software can sometimes be a challenge. Ice-breakers and hands-on activities can help break the ice and make the learning process more engaging and interactive. Here are some ideas to get you started:
Ice-Breaker Activities:
-
Favorite Movie / Sports Team:
- Create a group titled 'favorite movie' and another titled 'favorite sports teams' and ask everyone to send a note to each group that includes the name of their favorite movie or sports team.
- Alternatively, ask participants to send a URL to an image of the movie poster or sports team landing page.
- For smaller groups, you can then guess who sent which movie or sports team.
-
Virtual Scavenger Hunt:
- Create a list of items related to your organization or team and ask participants to find and share images or URLs to those items via the T1V app.
-
Two Truths and a Lie:
- This is best for small groups. For larger groups, you can choose up to three volunteers to share their truths and lie and everyone else can participate in guessing the lie.
- One at a time, have participants share two truths and a lie about themselves using ThinkHub Notes. Make each note large enough that everyone can read it. Other participants can then guess which statement is the lie. After guesses have been made, the original participant can reveal the lie by changing the background color of the note with the lie to red.
Hands-On Activities:
-
Collaborative Brainstorming Session:
- Use ThinkHub's digital whiteboard to facilitate a collaborative brainstorming session. Participants can add ideas and concepts in real-time, fostering creativity and engagement.
-
Team-building Exercise:
- Create a team-building exercise where participants work together to solve a problem or complete a task using ThinkHub. This can help build camaraderie and encourage teamwork.
-
Document Collaboration:
- Assign a task that requires participants to collaborate on a document using ThinkHub's annotation and editing features. This can help familiarize users with the software's capabilities.
-
Virtual Tour:
- Create a virtual tour of your organization or team using ThinkHub. Participants can add notes, images, and videos to create an interactive experience.
By incorporating these ice-breakers and hands-on activities into your training sessions, you can help get users comfortable using ThinkHub and encourage active participation and engagement. Remember to keep the activities fun and interactive to ensure that users have a positive experience with the software.
